March 18, 2020. In February 2019, IAMMP created a list of TOP-mathematicians of Ukraine for the first time using information from the citation database Scopus, which is one of the most respectable scientific databases among researches.
The so called balanced Hirsch index is used as the main indicator. Moreover, several other indicators (in particular, mathematics must be the primary subject, the minimal number of citations without self-citations must be 200, the main affiliation must be in Ukraine). Other relevant information (the numbers of papers, citations and citing papers) for each mathematician from the list is also presented. This year the list was updated on the basis of extended criteria (in particular, the notion “academic dishonesty” was applied).

December 28, 2019. It is time for Christmas break and we look behind on the year 2019. During this year, IAMMP has initiated a few activities, which will be continued in 2020. In particular, a list of TOP-mathematicians of Ukraine according to the Hirsch index has been created for the first time in Ukraine. The database Scopus was used for these purposes. The so called balanced Hirsch index is proposed as the main indicator. Other relevant information (the numbers of papers and citations) for each mathematician from the list is also presented. The list can been seen at http://iammp.uk/naukometriya/
In June, the joint Polish-Ukrainian Workshop ‘Mathematical Models of Transport Processes in Health and Disease’ was organized. Several talks were presented by Polish and Ukrainian scholars. The workshop program can be
found at http://iammp.uk/en/activities-and-annual-reports/conferences-and-seminars/
This event was organized in collaboration with International Center of Biocybernetics (ICB), Warsaw. Because the Workshop was very successful, the next similar event is planned to organize in Warsaw. IAMMP is going to extend its activities in 2020 and we invite for collaboration prospective sponsors, which are interested to support scientific events, especially devoted to Applied Mathematics. The contact e-mail address is IAMMP@ukr.net
We wish merry Christmas and happy New Year to all Mathematicians over our fantastic world !
October 25, 2019. In October, the 26th meeting of the Programme Committee for the specific programme implementing Horizon 2020 “ERC-MSCA-FET” took place in Brussels. Notably, starting from 2019, representatives from Ukraine, including Head of IAMMP Prof. Cherniha, take part in such meetings. In particular, the October meeting was devoted to general results of calls within the sub-programme Marie-Skladowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) – see more details via link.
On the 13th June 2019, the Polish-Ukrainian Workshop ‘Mathematical Models of Transport Processes in Health and Disease’ organized by IAMMP (Kyiv) and International Center of Biocybernetics (Warsaw) took place. Seven talks were presented (one talk was canceled). The workshop program including the abstracts can be found at
